Badger Emergencies

If you find a sick or injured badger, please call us on our emergency number or contact your nearest wildlife rescue centre. Do not use email or messages for reporting emergencies, these will not been seen in time to provide sufficient aid. We cannot attend a report without a telephone number to contact you.  This is due to us travelling miles fruitlessly, from bogus calls.

EMERGANCY NUMBER: 07801 630367 (DO NOT CALL FOR DEAD BADGERS)

While it is very sad to find a dead badge, this is not an emergency. There is nothing we can do for a dead badger and we are unable to remove them. If you find a dead badger please contact your local authority for removal. For reporting a dead badger and other non-emergency situations please see our Contact Us page.

We prefer email for non emergency contacts but if you must phone, please do so between 1000 hours and 1800 hours Monday to Friday.

Badgers are extremely powerful animals despite their sometimes ‘cuddly’ look, and they are capable of causing major injuries and serious bites. DO NOT pick up or touch an injured badger unless you are experienced and have the appropriate equipment. Even a small cub will give a nasty bite and must not be handled if avoidable.

DO NOT PHONE OVERNIGHT OR EARLY IN THE MORNING ABOUT DEAD BADGERS, EMERGENCY ONLY!

WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS!
