Badger comedy Show 10th July 2026

Matt Hobs is a Bristolian scientist turned stand-up comedian who has an hour show completely about badgers (yes, really!) which he is bringing to Worcester Huntington Hall on 10th July 2026.

Matt says: 100% Badgers with Matt Hobs is an hour of jokes about badgers. What started as a passing interest in badgers turned into an obsession that led to me standing in a field looking at a caged, frightened badger caught up in the misinformation of the bovine TB debate (spoiler: I tagged along with Oxfordshire’s badger vaccination program.) This critically acclaimed show sold out my entire 23 date run at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and is now going on tour.

Evesham March Against the Badger Cull & Information Day

Evesham Badger March and information day , is a friendly day where badger lovers and groups can come together and meet like minded people. We hear many people say they would like to attended the cull zones, but don’t know where to start, hopefully this day will reassure and answer a few of their questions.
West Midlands Badger group also need active members so please do feel free to come and talk to us on ways you can become involved. There really are jobs for everyone within the cull and local Badger groups.
We believe the badger cull and the new extension of the cull zones highly cruel and bad science and want to tell the world why we believe this..
As a group we see awful and disturbing badger persecution, from baiting, sett disturbance, badger cruelty , poisoning, that’s without the roll out of the shocking ignorant cull, often this seems never ending and we need all the support we can get to protect Badgers. the truth is badgers need “you” reading this.
Many people we talk to , have no idea that a badger cull is still going on, without the fact it’s being extended to many new areas. This is why we believe Marches, education and public emphasises is so vitally important.
Why not join us for a peaceful march, hear fantastic speakers and meet new like minded friends,

NFU Conference

Local people attended a protest against the badger cull at the NFU Conference in Birmingham in February.Unfortunately the protest against the badger cull at the annual conference of the NFU has sorrowfully become an annual event for us. This year we could quite easily see the needless killing of another 15,000 badgers as the cull is rolled out to further areas.

Cheshire Against the Badger Cull.

Over 350 people joined a peaceful family protest march against the badger cull policy through the centre of Chester on Saturday 10th December.
The march was organised by the Badger Trust with the support of the campaign group Cheshire Against the Cull and the League Against Cruel Sports and the Born Free Foundation.  It was the 40th protest march held against the badger cull in towns & cities across England since 2013. The march was held in Chester as Cheshire is considered a high risk area for the spread of bovine TB in cattle and the badger cull could be extended into the county in 2017.
